Q. How long are lessons?
30 minutes - £20.00
45 minutes - £30.00
60 minutes - £40.00
Q. Do I need a drum kit to start learning?
No. There are many ways that you can practice when starting out without having a drum kit. From rhythm reading through to coordination exercises you will be taught how to practice away from the kit and get the most from your time.
Q. Do you have a DBS / CRB check?
Yes.
Q. On which days can I take lessons?
Monday - Friday (Please enquire for available time slots)
Q. Do I need to be able to read music?
No. Notation and rhythm reading is a topic that we will cover in lessons as necessary.
Q. Can I take grade exams?
Yes. I teach both Rockschool and Trinity exams boards, Grade 1-8.
Q. Should I take exams?
This is different for everybody and there are good reasons for and against taking exams. We will be able to look at exam content during lessons and give you the chance to decide whether or not it is for you.
Q. Can I learn the songs that I want?
Yes. I fully endorse students playing to the music that they like. This encourages practice and will give you goals to achieve.
Q. Do you teach on acoustic or electric drums?
My teaching space has both an acoustic and electric drum kit to give us as much flexibility as possible. I always give students the chance to use both and ensure that they are comfortable with either option.

Q. Can I sit in on my son/daughters lesson?
Yes. You are welcome to sit in with your child during the lesson. I recommend this option to many parents, especially of younger children, as it allows you to have a good understanding of what your child is learning and should be working on at home.
