As a young learner private tuition is a great alternative to in school lessons which take you away from you academic learning. We can also help you through GCSE / A-Level performance exams or even the skill section of a Duke of Edinburgh award. 

Exam Route

Exams are a fantastic way for you to progress on the drums. Both Rockschool and Trinity exam syllabuses are designed to help you become a well rounded drummer with a great knowledge of musical styles, coordination, technique and timing. We cover all exam content within your lessons to ensure that you walk into your exam feeling fully prepared and confident, allowing you to perform to the highest standard possible. 

Casual Learner

Not interested in taking exams but still keen to learn? Great! We will take time in your lessons to discover the topics that are most important to you. Whether that is learning songs by your favourite bands / artists, improvisation skills or even creating your own grooves, fills and solos. We will also be sure to cover a wide range of genres and techniques to equip you for all musical situations. 

Want to learn from the comfort of your own home?

Skype lessons are a great option and come with lots of benefits, 

• Learn on your own drum kit
• Learn from your own home 
• No need to worry about travel or parking
• Learn from anywhere in the world 

What you need

We will go over all set up details prior to your first lesson to ensure that everything works well. All you will need for this will be:

• An internet connection
• A computer, laptop or tablet 
• Your drum kit (acoustic or electric) 
• A speaker to play music / metronome through while your playing 

After each lesson you will receive an email containing any PDF worksheets or song transcriptions that have been worked on. As well as this there will be a list of topics covered and any practice exercises for you to work on.

There is no need to have any experience reading or playing music, we will build up these skills as necessary within your lessons. You will be able to learn songs by your favourite bands and maybe even discover some new drumming heroes.
